house warming party @miki's

just wanna write down what happened yesterday
let's go back a little to when i received the invitation
that morning, i went to the office earlier than before, bcs my husband went to Vietnam for business travel
mk asked me if you had no plans for Saturday, do you want to come to our house warming party
i said yes sure, i'd love to, we live so close
then on Friday night after work, i went to Zara Home to buy a couple of candles for mk
i always remember how cozy it was when the candle was lighted and mr. clark, mrs. clark and i sat on the sofa reading the Bible
so i chose candles as a house warming present, bcs it's actually gonna warm the house lol
on Saturday, i went there by metro and then walked there followed the map on the phone
at first, i thought oh their house is not that far from the metro station
but i was so wrong bcs i got to the wrong area of their neighborhood
what's more strange is i found a pair of Mickey Mouse slipper right in front of that wrong door and i thought it must be the right place bcs there's a pair of Mickey Mouse slipper!
then i continued to walk along the river and finally arrived
i don't know if i should take off my shoes and wear their slippers or whatever, then mk told me the floor is clean so i can step in just on foot

i was the first one there!

so... mk sat on the sofa with me while doing some make-up
she told me how strange the weather was in her hometown which located near the five great lakes
then a friend came, a physicist, who loves scuba diving and also very handsome, very outgoing, humorous
i liked his personality

then came jen, then came christine

then came Michael, a Chemist and his partner Willy, an Architect
so much like Modern Family
Michael brought some homemade meatballs, very delicious
Willy has very good taste on fine art which was a subject he studied for half a year

jen talked about how Chinese teachers don't tend to encourage argument and how her tutor encourage the students to argue as much as possible
she has a very deep observation on Chinese culture, hope she has a great time during the phd

Christine's struggling with her choice of what life to pursue, finding a work or pursuing phd study

oh yeah, everybody has master's or phd at the party except me lol

had a great time with those new friends 😁

Daily Work

I've never given up our dear Heavenly Father. Daily Bible on Facebook is a nice place to learn. I hope I can keep on learning.
